St. Nicholas
Hey all, I'm back from London! It's time for you to rejoice :D Anyway I shall blog about the past 15 days that I spent in Europe! Shall try to fill it up with as many pictures as possible since a picture says a thousand words! (Yay then I can type less teehee) I won't be able to put up videos we've taken right now though, but I'll put them up as soon as my dad uploads them into the computer. It might take quite a while though. Anyway shan't bore you with my incessant chatter (though some people feel that I talk funny ever since I've got back), here goes:
DAY ONE Arrived at Changi airport and everyone in the family came to send us off, how sweet! Took the plane from Singapore to Dubai and Emirates has the best entertainment system in store I tell you! There were over a hundred movies to choose from, over a hundred music albums to listen to, about a hundred tv channels to watch etcetra etcetera. Lemme see if I can find a photo.

Oh this was a photo of the tv screens showing the flight times. Notice that almost all the flights are Emirates!

I think it was my brother who took this. Tsk whatever for, I do not know. Anyway enjoy my back profile!

Its a little blur but thats the Airbus 380 that we took, pretty cool aye?

The entertainment system, they call it ICE (Info, Communications, Entertainment)I loved it, and I remember wishing for the flight to last longer. They serve pretty good food too! I watched Ghost Town, Walle and Maid of Honour :D
The flight from Dubai to London arrived late so we were running late. Rented a car from Avis called the Espace I think. It's a seven seater and fitted the seven of us snugly. Then we rushed to our prebooked hotel, I can't remember its name, darn! Got caught in their traffic congestion, fined for not paying their ERP (we didn't know till the 3rd day!) but I guess we got there in the end. Here's a few photos:

Da toilet!

A view of the hotel room. Not much, I know but we were going budget and it was enough for us (:
After that, we left for dinner and it was late at night already. I mean it was still early, like 6.30pm, but the sky was DARK. Took their train to City centre and their train was pretty good! Not as clean as singapore's MRT of course, but not too bad. Just a few newspapers strewn behind the seats here and there but not much rubbish. They are allowed to eat on the train by the way! So its pretty impressive considering that they do not need fines to be imposed on them for them to keep their own train clean.
But this is also the reason why I love singapore:

If I can get lost in singapore... I cannot live in London. Just look at that! Mind-boggling!
Anyway train tickets cost us a jaw dropping 30 pounds for the 7 of us and thats like S$65 approximately. Then we visited the Big Ben and River Thames yay, it was very nicely lighted up at night :D

Sorry, couldn't be bothered to rotate the picture so :D

This was supposed to be a picture of our grandparents and us but this guy was walking along and managed to take a nice little photo with us hahaha. Whats more, he happened to be standing in line with us and smiling so I guess we've got an addition to our family!
After big ben and the London eye (It's the london ferris wheel, why does singapore keep copying london!?) we headed back towards our hotel where we had a nice dinner at a small eatery place. I had a tuna jacket potato and it was really yummy. Pretty cheap too, about 3.5 pounds (S$7.50). That's quite cheap for london food.
