DAY TEN I am jetlagging very very badly. I cannot sleep and I take my lunch at 4pm, dinner at 10pm and breakfast at 11am. So day ten! We had continental breakfast at the hotel and set off towards neuschwenstein. In case you're wondering why it sounds so familiar, this is the castle that inspired Disneyland so yupp.
When we got there, the lanes were covered with horse shit. Yes, it stank to high heaven. My grandparents took the horse carriage since it was a really steep climb up to the castle. Did you know King Ludwig built this castle in honour of Wagner? He loved his operas. So the whole place had alot of decor that were related to the operas. The opera theatre is brilliant as well.
A 3 hour car ride can get very very boring yknow.

Beautiful castle. No photography of any form allowed in the castle though so I can't show you the interior. King Ludwig didn't finish building the castle btw, he was deemed mentally unfit to rule and died under suspicious circumstances in a nearby river.
Without the snow, the castle is really quite colourful.

We had dinner at a petrol station stop. I had eine kleine spaghetti carbonara und parmesan. We managed to drive to salzburg where we checked into an ibis hotel.
